I was really confused about which gallery to put this in because while it's not a portrait of any existing person, I did reference a photograph in order to draw it at least semi-realistically, so uh... Whatever idk.

This is the first realistic thing I've done in fucking forever, and even it's not really realistic very much. But fuck it, I did it in like an hour, and I like it okay, so. 8)

This file is insanely huge, download at your own risk.

I just figured I'd leave it up as an option if people wanted to see details or something...? It's really not necessary.

I'm sorry I pretty much suck as a dA-friend. All this semester, I have, really. Soon I'll have time off.

My friend Lauren gave me a stocking stuffed with goodies today, and one of them was a bottle opener that I put on a necklace that also displays my $.50 Fred Meyer dollar sign bling, and it's, on the whole, the best, most useful thing in the world.

WHAT THE HELL HOW DID YOU GET ALL THOSE PEOPLE TO COMMENT.

Though I want to murder the idiot who said it looked like an anime character and that other MORAN who called it an Illustration. D:< That's an insult wrapped in a compliment, Sakana, don't fall for it.

You know what's weird. dGAY's small view and full-view look fine, but when I download it, it looks really shitty (like, lots of noise for some reason) as the Furry preview, but then I enlarge it and it looks perfectly fine. Very strange. @_@

Is this Othello or the kid from your new story whose name escapes me at the moment? D: I can't comment appropriately until I know which one.

Well, I can say a few things about the anatomy before I know who it is.

First of all, homg adam's apple and the lil thing that goes underneath it (I forget what it's called but there are two lumps there and you got both of them) look amazing. The shading is so subtle, but so beautiful. And I really like how wide his lips are. Like, the top lip has the curve at the top and the two peaks (pretend this makes sense) and his are so far apart it looks really cool. @_@ And those cheekbones are beautiful. And I love how you did his hair. T_T I have no idea how to do hair realistically and hot shit this is so pretty. I especially like how a lot of the highlights look like the paper, versus eraser or white chalk. I lovelovelove the top of the paper. How instead of coloring to the very edge, you left it all sketchy and T_T I love that so much. Call it the watercolorist in me, it transfers well to charcoal.

It's semi-realism which is sitlla branch of realism. a branch that I can not touch it seems. this came out so excellent! I looove all the black, good job.
